Republicans barred from voting on state budget
12. May 2009 by admin.
Hey everyone,
This isn’t the usual article I like to send out, but I got this email from a good friend of mine, and I thought it was too important to not share with everyone. Apparently our state Democrats are using their near super-majority status to bar Republicans from voting on budget issues (the mechanics of which are stated below). I’ve contacted Representative Dan Kristiansen to confirm whether or not this letter was from his wife, and he confirmed it (1).
Anyway, after last year’s 5.1 billion dollar deficit (that’s more than five times 999 million dollars), you’d think our state Democrats would at the very least be interested in getting us under budget, but I stopped giving them credit a long time ago (2). Please copy and paste this to as many people as you possibly can, since the media has ignored opportunities to expose corruption.

Since NO ONE in the press is going to report this, I will. I just got off the phone with my husband, State Rep. Dan Kristiansen.
In summary, this is what he said. Read the rest of this entry »
